Inside the Stunning Mansion in Ex Machina
There are many stunning, otherworldly sights in Ex Machina, the science-fiction film directed by Alex Garland that features a robot so lifelike she's played by actress Alicia Vikander. But the most breathtaking sight of all may be the 100 percent real, available-for-a-night's-stay location where the film is set: the Juvet Landscape Hotel in Norway.

Drunk achoholic billionaire who plays with robotic maid rubber dolls posing as artificial intelligence androids. Two guys who are in a secluded paradise with robotic woman??

Ex Machina has so much potential to be a really engaging and exciting movie but it falls flat. Literally something out of a weird science fiction novel that went terribly wrong.

Why would a super smart robot computer want to spend her time asking useless questions that has nothing to do with anything important. It is as if the creator of this bot had no plan of what her function would be.

Just to say he wants to see if an artificial intelligence could feel, act and be like a human is so basic and uninteresting. You want a robot to fall in love and get romantically involved with a human, when bigger issues such as world hunger and curing life threatening diseases is on the horizon. Why not teach the A.I. to do things that will benefit mankind instead of just adding to its perversions.

The only thing that is remotely thrilling is the awesome views and breathtaking scenery of Norway. Not to mention the architect masterpiece of the research facility that the experiments take place.
